Calvin “C”Note Jackson
Vice President of Entertainment & Business Development

A veteran of over 35 years in the entertainment industry, Calvin “C-Note” Jackson is a former singer, musician, manager, producer, promoter, and agent. He has spent time as a singer, bassist and/or pianist in several gospel, jazz and R&B groups over the years while also serving as the Manager/Agent for R&B singers as well as Jazz musicians.

As Vice President of Entertainment & Business Development he meets with and interviews musicians, singers, choirs, and composers with the sole purpose of selecting the appropriate music for movie soundtracks. He works with recording studio engineers on selecting music and sounds effects for various film and television productions. He also proactively speaks with actors or actresses in an effort to present the best possible candidates for Nubia Filmworks’ various theatrical, television, and video productions. Mr. Jackson acts as liaison between potential investors and project funding. He works with the company’s President in securing funding for current and future projects.

Prior to becoming a member of the Nubia Filmworks team, he worked with WKYS Radio in Washington D.C. under the promotions and marketing umbrella for the station where he served in a supervisory role as key personnel between new clients and the radio station assisting with on air personalities or marketing events beneficial for promotions of newly established business accounts. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he held a TS SCI in his roles and duties as an Airman, he was awarded high recognition for both national and world accomplishments.
