Sowande was born and raised in Washington, DC. He graduated from Howard University in Washington, DC with a BA in Broadcast Production and a minor in Drama. He most recently performed in the feature film, Too Saved. His stage credits include, Nocturnal Agony, Dancing the Night Away, also directed by Shuaib Mitchell and Missing Pieces by award-winning playwright, Maria P. Jones in Washington, DC. He also performed in staged readings of A Rose By Any Other Name by Shuaib Mitchell in New York and Rome and Juliettte by Christa Dickey in Washington, DC. His film credits include The Session by David Johnson and Victims of Circumstance? by Patrick Charles.
